Manufacturers of pressurized metered dose inhalers (pMDI) are required by the FDA and other regulatory agencies to test and inspect each unit for leaks before final packaging. Emerson’s Cascade CT3204 is the most advanced pMDI leak detection and rejection system in the pharmaceutical industry. Using Quantum Cascade Laser (QCL) technology to provide instant, online analysis and response to faulty cans moving down the production line at a speed of up to 200 cans per minute, the CT3204 is designed to continuously operate un-attended and can detect R134a and other Freon components with precise accuracy and sensitivity.
