The Virgo EL Series Top Entry Ball Valve is designed for inline reparability where quick turnaround may be desirable. This valve conforms to API 6D, ASME B16.34, API 598 and API 607 specifications making it an excellent choice for critical service environments. Its single piece body is more resistant to pipeline stresses and performs well in transmissions pipelines, pumping stations, compression units, onshore terminals, off shore platforms and many other demanding applications.

Features

  • MULTIPLE STEM SEALING - A multiple sealing stem features a triple sealing with two O-rings and a fire-safe gasket. This arrangement ensures consistent compliance with stringent fugitive emission testing requirements.
  • SEALANT INJECTION - In the event of seat or seal damage due to contamination, an emergency seal can be formed using seat sealant injection.
  • DOUBLE BLOCK AND BLEED - Spring loaded floating seats maintain contact with the ball and provide a tight shut off even at low pressure differential. Independent sealing of upstream and downstream sides facilitates draining/venting of the body cavity, thus the double block and bleed operation
  • EXTRA WALL THICKNESS - Increased corrosion allowance provides extra safety factor
  • BI-DIRECTIONAL CLASS VI SHUTOFF - API tested leakage tested to ensure minimum maintenance and maximum valve life
