The Virgo NG Series Trunnion Mounted Ball Valve features an adjustable gland packing box with multiple stem sealing to help our customers meet the stringent ISO 15848 fugitive emissions test requirements. This valve designed to provide our customers the highest confidence in maintaining their processes in working condition. It meets demanding specifications like API 607/6FA fire safety, API 6D, API 598 pressure test requirements, SIL3, as well as many others.

Features

  • MULTIPLE STEM SEALING - Includes a fully adjustable packing gland and multiple stem sealing for minimizing fugitive emissions. This multiple stem sealing consists of a layered graphite packing gland set and double shaft O-rings. This arrangement ensures consistent compliance to stringent fugitive emissions testing requirements.
  • SEALANT INJECTION - In the event of seat or seal damage due to contamination, an emergency seal can be formed using seat sealant injection.
  • DOUBLE BLOCK AND BLEED - Spring loaded floating seats maintain contact with the ball and provide a tight shut off even at low pressure differential. Independent sealing of upstream and downstream sides facilitates draining/venting of the body cavity, thus the double block and bleed operation
  • EXTRA WALL THICKNESS - Increased corrosion allowance provides extra safety factor
  • BI-DIRECTIONAL CLASS VI SHUTOFF - API tested leakage tested to ensure minimum maintenance and maximum valve life
  • LOW OPERATING TORQUES - Valve features built-in ISO 5211 mounting and low operating torques for easy automation
  • LOW PRESSURE SEALING - Compression springs provide uniform loading of seats, ensuring sealing at low pressures
  • SAFETY DESIGNED IN- Safety features include internal anti-static device, blowout-proof stem provides positive stem retention, API 607/6FA fire safe certification, SIL3 capable
