After looking at the issue and the nature of current conversation across the industry, the team developed a comprehensive analysis of energy consumption in the data center and recommended actions for reducing consumption.
During their research and analysis, the Emerson Network Power team identified the need for a single source of information on data center energy efficiency and an open discussion forum where industry leaders can drive discussion around relevant issues. We're taking the first step toward meeting those needs by creating EfficientDataCenters.com, and we'd like to invite other members of the data center community to join the conversation. We welcome input from data center professionals with examples of effective energy-saving strategies and from IT vendors with non-promotional resources that can help.
