Calculators

While there are no existing calculators specifically for the medium, large, or mega data centers, CO2 emission and global footprint calculators come in many shapes and forms. Often, calculators will provide differing results, as few use the same baseline assumptions on lbs/kg, CO2 / kW, or CO2 emissions per distance traveled, etc.

Therefore we've provided a range of calculators for your examination, and we suggest you select the one that best fits your geography, industry, and application.

If you'd like to suggest a calculator to add to this list, please let us know.

  • Energy Logic Efficiency Calculator
  • The Berkeley Institute of the Environment, University of California Berkeley
    (household carbon emissions)
This calculator considers several lifestyle metrics (including transportation, utility spending, home size, food spending and spending on other goods) to calculate a household's carbon emissions in comparison to U.S. and world averages.
  • U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
    (personal greenhouse gas emissions)
This calculator considers several lifestyle metrics (including transportation, utility spending, and waste habits) to determine greenhouse gas emissions and also calculates the positive environmental impact of several energy saving actions.
  • co2balance.uk.com
    (carbon footprint, business and personal)
This site offers five carbon footprint calculators, each measuring the impact of a specific aspect of your lifestyle (car travel, air travel, household emissions, etc.) and allows users to input their total footprint to calculate the actual cost of offsetting their emissions.
