Opportunities for New and Recent MBA Graduates

Emerson takes great pride in being a well-managed company. Much of the credit goes to our prestigious Corporate Sponsorship Program for MBAs which has become a pipeline of new talent, energy and creativity within our company.  Each year we interview more than 400 MBA candidates and recent MBA degree recipients.  We’re looking for high-potential people who have the experience, skills and enthusiasm to work in our results-oriented company.  We offer full-time paid positions and paid summer internships to a select group of these MBA candidates.  Many of these individuals have found this a great opportunity to begin their career at Emerson.

Full-time positions for recent MBAs
Full-time positions are typically offered to MBA graduates who have at least three years of prior work experience and have received their MBA within the past three years.  Participation in Emerson’s elite Corporate Sponsorship Program for MBAs puts these people on a fast track to leadership positions within our company.

Emerson typically creates 20 to 30 full-time positions annually for recent MBA recipients.  These assignments can be at our corporate headquarters in St. Louis or at one of our businesses around the world. Initial assignments are typically 18 to 36 months, after which time you would be assigned to a corporate position or a position at one of our businesses.

More than 70 percent of the MBAs hired in the last 10 years have remained at Emerson and been promoted to leadership roles. In fact, David N. Farr, Emerson’s chairman, CEO and president, began his Emerson career as a participant in our Corporate Sponsorship Program for MBAs.

Summer Internships for MBA students

Generally, 20 to 30 paid internship positions are offered each year to high-potential individuals currently enrolled in MBA programs at top-ranked universities. The people selected for our MBA summer internship program will gain hands-on experience while working with some of the most talented leaders in the industry. Participants have the opportunity to work with Emerson’s top management while proving themselves in a dynamic, global corporate environment.
