Arizona Science Center (Phoenix, AZ)
The Arizona Science Center educates, entertains, and inspires people of all ages about science with more than 300 hands-on-exhibits, a state-of-the-art planetarium, live demonstrations, traveling exhibitions, and exciting science programs for people of all ages.
Center for the Arts at Ithaca, Inc. (Ithaca, NY)
The Center for the Arts at Ithaca, Inc., also known as the Hangar Theatre, makes available professional theatre experiences to the diverse audience in the Finger Lakes region and beyond and provides strong education and training programs. Emerson gave a major gift to the capital campaign for the Hangar Theatre in support of its commitment to local and national artistic communities.
Dance St. Louis (St. Louis, MO)
Dance St. Louis brings a range of dance creation and dance education programs to the St. Louis community as well as professional dance performances to develop an appreciation of dance as an art form. Emerson made a contribution to Dance St. Louis in support of their Spring to Dance event and to grow their endowment.
Missouri Botanical Garden (St. Louis, MO)
The Missouri Botanical Garden, founded in 1859, is the nation's oldest botanical garden in continuous operation and a National Historic Landmark. Emerson pledged a gift in support of the garden as a center for education, science, and conservation and in celebration of their 150-year anniversary celebration.

Habitat for Humanity (Nationally)
Emerson supported 20 Habitat for Humanity chapters across the country to provide decent, safe, and affordable housing to people in need.
Local Initiatives Support Corporation (Houston, TX)
Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) assists neighbors to build sustainable communities that are healthy places to work, do business, and raise children. Emerson contributed to the accelerated pace of neighborhood revitalization in response to the aftermath of the hurricane season.
St. Louis Internship Program (St. Louis, MO)
Emerson supported the St. Louis Internship Program, known as SLIP, which helps high school students with financial need receive job training and internship placement. SLIP gives these young women and men the knowledge, experience and confidence that enables them to gain valuable experience and provides employers with well-trained, motivated, and talented employees.

Central Institute for the Deaf (St. Louis, MO)
Emerson's support helped to ensure that families have the opportunity to give their children the speech, language and listening instruction they need in order to work alongside hearing children in and outside of the classroom.
Eisenhower Exchange Fellowships, Inc. (Philadelphia, PA)
Emerson supported the Eisenhower Fellowship Program which engages emerging leaders from around the world to enhance their professional capability, broaden their contacts, deepen their perspectives, and unite them in a diverse, global community.
Teach For America (St. Louis, MO)
Teach For America strives to eliminate educational inequality by enlisting our nation's most promising future leaders. In order to continue to foster and grow the program within St. Louis, Emerson pledged a major gift to expand the presence of teachers, expand the alumni base, increase student impact, and diversify funding.
HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES
Independence Center (St. Louis, MO)
Emerson supported the Independence Center in their Rebuilding Futures, Restoring Lives capital campaign. The organization provides high quality programs and services that assist adults in the St. Louis metropolitan area with serious and persistent mental illnesses to live and work in the community, independently and with dignity.
Morristown Memorial Health Foundation, Inc. (Morristown, NJ)
The Morristown Memorial Health Foundation serves as the philanthropic arm to Morristown Memorial Hospital. Emerson supported the foundation's use of philanthropy to preserve and expand the hospital's programs and services in direct patient care, clinical research, medical and public health education, and preventive medicine.
United Way (Nationally)
Emerson distributed more than $2 million to 59 different United Way campaigns across the country in support of their mission to advance the common good in local communities and to create opportunities for a better life for all by focusing on education, income, and health.

Annie Malone Children and Family Service Center (St. Louis, MO)
The Annie Malone Children and Family Service Center is a multi-faceted social services organization that provides vital support to families in need in the St. Louis community. Emerson awarded a matching grant to ensure the continuation of services.
Big Brothers Big Sisters (Nationally)
Emerson made donations to Big Brothers Big Sisters in 18 locations across the country in support of their mission to help children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with mentors that have a measurable impact on youth.
Boys & Girls Clubs (Nationally)
Emerson supported 17 Boys & Girls Club locations across the country to enhance the development of young boys and girls in a safe environment in their communities.
