This is a high visibility position with significant impact on the entire organization that requires high energy and an advanced level of both technical and interpersonal skills. Primary responsibilities are to plan, direct, and control the scheduling of materials to maximize customer deliveries, plant productivity and inventory turns. The materials manager will be involved in both tactical and strategic decisions to drive immediate and long term results by:

1.      Setting effective materials policies internally and across the supply chain using Emerson supply chain best practices.

2.      Building a high performance team

3.      Implementation of appropriate technology

4.      Developing productive relationships with peers inside Knaack and throughout Emerson.

1. Bachelors degree in Business or Accounting or related field.
2. APICS CPIM certification.
3. Minimum of 5 years experience in a materials, production planning, inventory/production control setting.
4. Must have a working knowledge of computer software such as MS Office, MS Project Scheduler and MRP/ERP/WMS  software.
5. Must have a broad based knowledge of production and inventory control theory and a working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
6. Must possess good interpersonal skills and be able to effectively communicate with all levels of associates, up to and including Senior Management.
