Emerson Announces Acquisition of Lionville Systems, Inc.

Strengthens Position in Hospital Medication Delivery and Wireless Information Management at Point-of-Care

ST. LOUIS, MO – March 8, 2007 Emerson (NYSE:EMR) announced today that it has acquired Lionville Systems Inc., a leading manufacturer of medication management systems for the healthcare environment. Based in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, Lionville will become part of Emerson Storage Solutions and its InterMetro division.

Lionville in 2005 introduced a line of point-of-care carts capable of delivering medication to the patient’s bedside while wirelessly interfacing with the hospital’s electronic medication administration records. In addition to its wireless point-of-care carts, Lionville specializes in medication carts, medication cabinets, and pharmacy workstations.

The acquisition of Lionville further strengthens Emerson’s healthcare platform served by InterMetro. This business was previously bolstered by the May 2006 acquisition of Flo Healthcare, the market leader in providing integrated wireless and mobile clinical workstation solutions to the healthcare industry. The combined companies have healthcare revenues in excess of $100 million with penetration in over 4,000 domestic hospitals.

"We are excited by the opportunities Emerson has to contribute to the changing healthcare landscape," said Pat Sly, Emerson executive vice president. "The combined expertise and market leadership of InterMetro, Flo, and Lionville puts us at the forefront in high profile areas of efficient electronic medical record utilization and effective medication administration, which help to reduce errors at the point-of-care and improve patient safety."

Lionville Systems, Inc. was founded in 1980 by William L. Williams and has been managed in recent years by his sons, the late E. Ford Williams and Tobin H. Williams. "Becoming part of Emerson not only expands our global distribution opportunities, it also provides capabilities on a scale we could not have previously imagined," said Tobin Williams, President of Lionville. "I am looking forward to the collaboration with InterMetro and Flo on our next generation platforms and offering our customers new, innovative solutions by combining the strengths of all three companies."
