Established in 2006, the Emerson Excellence in Teaching Gold Star Grant is a competitive cash grants awards program, sponsored by Emerson, to support the professional and personal development goals of elementary and secondary school teachers in the St. Louis area.
Eligibility to apply and be considered is limited to classroom teachers who are current or past recipients of the Emerson Excellence in Teaching Award from 2003-2008. Individual teachers and teacher teams (with at least one Excellence in Teaching Award recipient) may apply.
Applications must be completed and returned by February 6, 2009. Award recipients and their schools will be notified in April 2009.
