Gas Measurement in Short Pipe Runs

Measurement accuracy in smaller installations with severe flow disturbances with no flow conditioner
Gas Measurement in Short Pipe Runs

8-path Ultrasonic specifically designed for short run applications

Reduced capex often means that pipeline measurement skids must occupy a smaller footprint, decreasing the installation costs of these sites. These smaller installations often cause installation effects in ultrasonic measurement since most ultrasonic meters require long pipe runs to ensure accurate measurement. The Rosemount 3418, however, is an 8-path meter specifically designed for short run applications with severe flow disturbances that result from these installation effects. By leveraging our T-200 transducer in an 8-path design, the Rosemount 3418 can be installed in pipe runs as short as 5D upstream and 3D downstream with no flow conditioner, thereby reducing costs and ensuring the greatest measurement accuracy.
