Opportunities to safely and effectively achieve lower emissions

The use of hydrogen in natural gas is seen as a cleaner source of energy and thereby increasing in popularity and demand. Hydrogen blended into natural gas pipelines allows for lower emissions than gas alone while still providing power and heat. This practice is being rapidly adopted in Europe, with some pipelines targeting 100% hydrogen. In North America, customers are still adapting and testing a maximum of 30% in the natural gas stream. The Rosemount™ SeniorSonic 3414 Four-Path Gas Ultrasonic Flow Meter ensures that customers can blend hydrogen into their current pipeline at levels of up to 30% and maintain the accuracy and reliability for which Rosemount is known.
