Improved Deionized Water Measurement for Hydrogen Electrolyzer Control

Confidently Measure Electrolyzer Water Feeds to Ensure Longevity and Maximize Output
Improved Deionized Water Measurement for Hydrogen Electrolyzer Control

Manage Water Flow and Maximize Energy Output

Polymer Electrolyte Membrane (PEM) Electrolyzers have a steady need for deionized water to maximize output. The critical measurement point is required to ensure the water feed is sufficient. In addition, insufficient water or excess flow can cause safety issues or identify improper operation of the Electrolyzer. The Rosemount™ 8800 Vortex Flow Meter provides a reliable way to measure these flows. The sealed design has no gaskets and no leak points to lower risk for contamination. The redundant configurations of the flow meter provide an easy safety certified solution with a process meter in the same device. This reduces installation time as you only need to bolt in the flanges and land the wiring to the 2-wire devices and you are ready to commission. To ensure low maintenance over time, the non-wetted sensor is isolated from the process ensuring that if any maintenance is required, it can be done while the Electrolyzer remains in operation.
