Prevent Process Disruptions in Underground Ore Storage

Underground storage bins provide short term storage and movement of ore materials. The contents are smaller rocks and finer materials. A typical bin height is 35 m (115 ft). An important challenge in this application is knowing the level measurement as it drops to the area near the bottom. The level must not go below a minimum level to protect the equipment at the bottom. The environmental conditions can be harsh with high heat and humidity and large amount of dust and vibrations.
