Sewerage lift stations, dry wells, and wet wells are used to transport wastewater from a low elevation, to a high elevation and are primarily used to move sewage from residential areas to wastewater treatment plants. They are also commonly used in conjunction with pumping stations in wastewater treatment facilities. Level measurement is used for accurate pump control, both to initiate pump high levels and to turn them off at low levels to prevent dry-running.

Product Solutions
The Rosemount 1208 Series provides accurate and reliable level measurement and open channel flow calculations. The radar level transmitter has been designed to solve challenges in water and wastewater-, utilities- and basic chemical applications. The Rosemount 1208 uses continuous non-contacting radar technology in a compact PVDF housing with drinking water and food grade approvals. Its encapsulated design withstands outdoor conditions, is fully submersible and is suitable for hazardous location installations. The Rosemount 1208 Series communicates via Bluetooth® wireless technology, 4-20 mA HART™ or IO-link and has a broad range of mounting accessories, making it easily integrate into both new as well as existing systems.

The Rosemount 3490 Series provide comprehensive control functionality for 4–20 mA or HART compatible transmitters, such as the Rosemount 1208 Level and Flow Transmitter. The series consist of two models that offer varying levels of control functionality depening on your specific application needs. The Rosemount 3490 Controller enables simple programming through intuative wizards for level and flow measurement to control pumps, totalize flows, log data and calculate differentials. The controller is easy-to-read and has a colored LCD display that offers a simple, intuitive and an user-centric interface.
