Talc concentrate slurry is thickened in settling tanks, dried under pressure, and stored before being further processed into powder. Concentrate slurry, an intermediate product, is stored in silos where it tends to stick to silo walls, often creating build-up which is difficult to measure. Early detection of build-up facilitates timely scheduling of maintenance and cleaning cycles, avoiding unexpected process interruptions. Accurate measurement of silo contents helps operators manage and control inventory and ensures continuous production. Installing reliable level switches helps control the emptying and filling cycles.
