Continuous Material Monitoring with Non-contacting Radar Technology
Raw coal is delivered to a coal yard or warehouse in aggregate pieces of approximately 15 cm (6 in) that are later reduced in size by a crusher to approximately 4 cm (1.5 in). The raw coal is dusty and stored in irregular stockpiles in huge yards, making accurate measurement a challenge. Reliable level measurement is important to operators to ensure continuous flow to the crusher and predict inventory to meet shipping schedules.
