Removing ink from recycled paper and turning it into raw pulp to make new paper is an involved process. pH is a critical parameter that influences ink removal efficiency. pH measurements in deinking mills can be difficult because of the varied nature of the raw material and thick consistency of the pulp. Sensors used in this environment must be rugged and chemically resistant. Many pH sensors will require regular daily or weekly cleaning. The Rosemount™ 396R Retractable pH Sensor is well suited to this type of application. The wide-area reference junction provides resistance to coating while the patented helical pathway prevents process intrusion into the inner reference chamber.

The Rosemount 396R pH Sensor / ORP Sensor, with integral cable, is specifically designed for improved life in harsh, dirty applications where a separate sample stream is difficult to provide and greater insertion depths are required. This pH/ORP sensor is designed for use with a 1-1/4 in. or 1-1/2 in. ball valve for tap installation.

The Rosemount 5081 Explosion-Proof Transmitter is a single channel loop powered device that can accept input from a variety of liquid analysis sensors including: pH/ORP sensors, conductivity sensors (contacting and toroidal) and amperometric sensors (dissolved oxygen, chlorine and ozone). Power Supply
Minimum power supply voltage is 12 Vdc. Maximum power supply voltage is 42.4 Vdc (30 Vdc for intrinsically safe operation). Power supply voltage should cover the voltage drop on the cable plus the external load resistor required for HART® communications (250 Ω minimum).
The Rosemount 56 Dual Channel Transmitter is a line powered device that can accept inputs from pH/ORP sensors, ion selective electrode (ISE) sensors, flow, current, conductivity (contacting and toroidal) sensors, turbidity sensors, dissolved oxygen sensors, chlorine sensors and ozone sensors.
