Thermal Processing for Plastics

Branson thermal processing systems are designed for staking, insertion, swaging, degating and date-stamping applications.

Clean, Consistent Inserting and Staking

Branson thermal processing systems can be used as an alternative to welding when the parts to be assembled consist of dissimilar materials that cannot be welded or when simple mechanical retention of one part relative to another is not adequate (as opposed to molecular bonding). Multiple sizes and material options can be driven simultaneously, meaning quantity, size and insert plane are virtually unlimited.

Thermal Processing Systems

TPX SERIES

Available in the 201 or 301 benchtop models, the TPX Series feature discrete, full-function temperature controllers with self-teach modes, as well as temperature control monitoring and alarm. Used for thermal staking or riveting, the controlled flow of the molten plastic is used to capture or retain another component, enabling the TPX Series to join plastic to plastic or metal or another type of material (e.g., a printed circuit board).

TPM 401 MODEL

The 401 is a benchtop model featuring 8, 12 or 16 temperature zones for larger-volume thermal processing needs.
