O-Z/Gedney™ solderless taps can be use in either a parallel or "T" configuration. They accept a wide range of cable sizes on both the main and the tap. One piece construction eliminates detachable parts and permits easy assembly. Type XTP is a plain connector. Type XTPC includes a canvas bakelite phenolic cover.

Features

  • Each fitting takes a range of cable sizes
  • Equipped with brass screws and brass or bronze pressure plates. Wide brass compression set screws, with rounded ends, covering the full width of the conductor cavity are used
  • Castings are of high conductivity copper alloy and are so designed, that high clamping pressure can be exerted, and maximum surface contact is provided with the wires throughout the specified range
  • XTPC requires no taping
