Designed to help you keep your Rosemount analytical instruments and analyzers operating at peak performance, this Lifecycle Services module helps you ensure critical maintenance and backup services are performed regularly.

Service Details

During each visit, an Emerson field engineer will resolve pre-identified issues, backup software, inspect the integrity of network communications, perform file clean-up, and implement minor application engineering adjustments at the customer's direction. For liquid analyzers, a complete diagnostic check of analyzer functionality and connections will be performed.

In general, services to be performed during Gas Chromatographs maintenance include:

  • Determine whether there are any known faults and address these either during or prior to carrying out the scheduled maintenance.
  • Physically examine the instrument or analyzer:
    • Carrier gas pressures are noted and checked against the original settings
    • Ancillary gas pressures and flow rates are noted and checked against the original settings
    • Sample flow rate is checked against the original settings
  • Change the elements of the inline stream filters as required.
  • Overhaul the chromatographic valves as required.
  • Ensure the sample shut-off valves operate correctly, and replace as required.
  • Check that the stream selection valves are operating correctly. Replace internal stream selection valves as necessary where external stream selection is used. Advise customer of problem and corrective actions taken.
  • Check detector bridge balance and adjust as necessary. If the bridge will not balance, change detector (thermal conductivity or flame ionization detector as applicable), amplifier boards, and/or power supplies at cost.
  • Check flame ionization detectors as applicable for leaks from the exhaust pipe and to ensure electrical voltages are correct.
  • Using MON2000 gas chromatograph software, run and compare a chromatograph of the calibration gas (supplied by customer) with a chromatograph taken of the calibration gas at the installation or last maintenance visit
  • Return GC to normal operation and ensure that it is functioning correctly.

In general, services to be performed during Process Gas Analyzers maintenance include:

  • Determine whether there are any known faults and address these either during or prior to carrying out the scheduled maintenance.
  • Physically examine the instrument or analyzer.
  • Repair as necessary all sample handling and conditioning components including:
    • Sample system leak check
    • Peristaltic condensate pumps and sample pumps
    • Sample chiller temperatures and moisture sensor/trip
    • Gauges, flow meters, valves, and solenoids
    • Chiller impingers
    • Sample pump interlocks
    • Sample probe filter/gaskets
    • Check and adjust sample pressures, flows, and vacuum level.
    • Check sample probe and HSL temperatures/controllers.
  • Verify shelter environment
  • Validate analyzers operating to spec
  • Analyzers will be verified and as found as left data will be provided to the customer
  • Detailed service report including:
    • As found / As left data
    • Operating parameter deviations
    • Adjustments to bring unit to spec
    • Consumable items replaced
    • Parts used in corrective maintenance
    • System lifecycle operational recommendations
  • Return analyzer to normal operation and ensure that it is functioning correctly.

  • Return analyzer to normal operation and ensure that it is functioning correctly.
