Emerson Acquires Net Safety Monitoring, Inc.

Acquisition expands depth of Emerson Process Management’s safety and security offerings


ST. LOUIS (July 5, 2011) – Emerson Process Management, a business of Emerson (NYSE:  EMR), has acquired Net Safety Monitoring, Inc., a global leader in the design, development and manufacture of fixed toxic and combustible gas detectors, flame detectors, safety systems, and other safety and security products.  The acquisition expands Emerson’s capabilities to provide comprehensive process controls and safety monitoring for the toughest industrial environments. 

For nearly two decades, Calgary-based Net Safety has built a reputation for developing products engineered for continuous performance in the most extreme conditions, particularly for the oil and gas industry.
