Emerson Climate Technologies Brings Next E360 Forum to Atlanta

Event Will Feature EPA Keynote Speaker, New Breakout Sessions on Latest News and Trends in HVACR Industry

ST. LOUIS, Dec. 22, 2015 Emerson Climate Technologies, Inc., a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), will host its next E360 Forum in support of its E360™ platform on Thursday, Feb. 18, at the Marriott Atlanta Airport Gateway.

The forum will feature a keynote session from Drusilla Hufford, director of the EPA’s stratospheric protection division. Hufford will discuss the many EPA-related regulatory developments in response to the president’s Climate Action Plan and provide insights on the EPA’s approach to forming these policies. Her timely keynote address aims to help attendees gain a clearer understanding of how U.S. policy fits into global initiatives to protect the environment.

Also during the general session, Dr. Rajan Rajendran, vice president of system innovation center and sustainability at Emerson Climate Technologies, will speak on the latest regulatory updates and their national and global impacts. And, Kyle Gargaro, editor-in-chief for ACHR News, will moderate a panel discussion entitled How to Handle the Technician Shortage, centered on the current demand for HVACR technicians.

The afternoon will feature new interactive breakout sessions on a variety of relevant topics. Sessions are divided into two tracks — foodservice and food retail — to give attendees opportunities to discuss the issues that are impacting them the most. New breakout sessions include:

  • Understanding Leak Detection and Implementing Effective Programs (food retail track) — John Wallace, director of innovation for Emerson Climate Technologies Retail Solutions, will lead an informative session that will help retailers understand what leak detection is, how to best identify a program that supports their operational goals, and an in-depth overview of the 608 leak detection standard.
  • System Upgrades That Impact Sustainable Energy Efficiency and Cost Savings (food retail track) — Andre Patenaude, director of CO2 business development for Emerson Climate Technologies, and Renteknik Group President Darren Cooper will explore how you can improve efficiency and save money by enhancing your current refrigeration system.
  • Understanding Applications for Alternate A1 Refrigerants (foodservice track) — Jason Prenger, director of refrigeration engineering for Emerson Climate Technologies, and Brad Hopson, account executive for Emerson Climate Technologies, will examine the best uses for alternate A1 refrigerants in the foodservice sector.

The E360 Forum is part of the company’s broader initiative to create a meaningful HVACR industry dialogue. The E360 platform provides a number of resources designed to offer interested parties a 360-degree view of commercial refrigeration issues and advancements by addressing energy efficiency, equipment reliability and safety, environmental protection and economic considerations.
