A common method of disinfecting wastewater uses chemicals, such as chlorine, which are stored in chemical tanks before they are added to wastewater to break down microorganisms and bacteria. Chlorination is an effective method and a well-established process, but it also has some disadvantages as liquid chlorine is highly corrosive and requires conformity with safety regulations. The Rosemount 1208 Level and Flow Transmitter provides continuous, reliable, and accurate level measurements up to the top of the tank, thus increasing tank utilization and supply control. The sensor features a PVDF plastic housing that is resistant to corrosion which makes it a good fit for basic chemical applications.
