Sulphur in liquid state comes directly from the sulphur recovery plant and is typically stored in underground concrete pits. The temperature of the molten sulphur is normally kept around 248-392 F (13-200 C). The sulphur tends to solidify at surfaces with lower temperatures and thus builds up inside nozzles. Sulphur is also a very aggressive medium. Here it is important to accurately monitor the level in order to avoid spills. The level device must withstand high temperature, build-up and corrosiveness.
