Biofuel Production Solutions

Liquefaction

An efficient and precise liquefaction process is essential in a biofuel operation. Key components must operate effectively at high temperatures in various operational pressures for optimal operations. ASCO solenoid valves are designed to handle aggressive liquids, gasses, hot water, oils and other fluids reliable to maintain peak efficiency.

Distillation

Components that ensure proper flow of liquid and steam help provide both safe operations and high-quality results. Manufactured to operate reliably in high temperature and high pressure applications, ASCO filter regulators, pilot valves, and rotary position indicators increase quality, accuracy and dependability at critical points in the distillation process.

Boiler Control

High-temperature, high-pressure components are necessary to keep Biofuel boilers running. ASCO combustion shutoff valves operate with the precision needed to control fuel flows to the burner. The Hydramotor product line provides increased control of natural gas for boiler operations. Our solenoid valves can be used to manage steam distribution during processing.

Grain Dryers

In biofuel operations, grain dryers must operate with precision and efficiency. ASCO combustion shutoff valves effectively control fuel flows to the burner used to supply heat the dryer. The hydramotor product line provides increased control of natural gas for dryer operations. These components can operate in high-temperature and moist conditions.

Distributed Control System

Biofuel plants are controlled by a Distributed Control System (DCS). ASCO valve islands  optimize the process control architecture using the best integrated remote I/O and pneumatic valve island structure for the system configuration. The CHARM from the DeltaV system is used to integrate the fluid automation solutions with the DCS. DCS communication is also supported by various G3 fieldbus module protocols, including Profibus-DP, EThenet/IP and others.
