When the terrain is not steep enough, pump stations are needed to transport water into water treatment plants. Pumping stations are defined by high current spikes as pumps turn on, which is why reliable and resilient instrumentation is needed to continuously monitor water levels in these applications. The Rosemount 1208 Level and Flow Radar Sensor provides continuous, accurate , and reliable monitoring of water levels. It also features a fully encapsulated UV-resistant PVDF housing design, which can withstand flooding and environmental conditions, such as wind, solar radiation, temperatures changes and humidity.

Rosemount™ 1208 Non-Contacting Level and Flow Transmitter

The Rosemount 1208 Series provides accurate and reliable level measurement and open channel flow calculations. The radar level transmitter has been designed to solve challenges in water and wastewater-, utilities- and basic chemical applications. The Rosemount 1208 uses continuous non-contacting radar technology in a compact PVDF housing with drinking water and food grade approvals. Its encapsulated design withstands outdoor conditions, is fully submersible and is suitable for hazardous location installations. The Rosemount 1208 Series communicates via Bluetooth® wireless technology, 4-20 mA HART™ or IO-link and has a broad range of mounting accessories, making it easily integrate into both new as well as existing systems.

Rosemount™ 3490 Controller

The Rosemount 3490 Series provide comprehensive control functionality for 4–20 mA or HART compatible transmitters, such as the Rosemount 1208 Level and Flow Transmitter. The series consist of two models that offer varying levels of control functionality depening on your specific application needs. The Rosemount 3490 Controller enables simple programming through intuative wizards for level and flow measurement to control pumps, totalize flows, log data and calculate differentials. The controller is easy-to-read and has a colored LCD display that offers a simple, intuitive and an user-centric interface.
