How to Enter Table Values – Line Size

Learn the steps for entering a table value such as line size on the Rosemount 8712 LOI.

Tutorial Summary:

  1. Press TUBE SIZE.
  2. Press SHIFT or INCR. to increase/decrease (incrementally) the sensor size to the next value.
  3. When you reach the desired sensor size, press ENTER.
  4. Set the loop to manual if necessary, and press ENTER again.

The LOI displays the new sensor size and the maximum flow rate.

  1. Press FLOW RATE to return to the Home/Flow Rate screen.

  3. To restart the totalizer, press START/STOP.

How to Enter Table Values – Line Size

  1. From the Home/Flow Rate screen, press the DOWN arrow key three times to access the Basic Setup menu.
  2. Press the RIGHT arrow to select the Basic Setup menu.
  3. Press the DOWN arrow key to scroll through the options in the menu.
  4. Press the RIGHT arrow to select Line Size.
  5. On the Line Size screen, press the UP/DOWN arrows to increase/decrease the sensor size to the next value.
  6. When you reach the desired sensor size, press “E” (LEFT arrow key).
  7. Set the loop to manual if necessary, and press “E” again.

After a moment, the LOI will display VALUE STORED SUCCESSFULLY and then display the selected value.

  1. Press “E” to navigate back to the Home/Flow Rate screen.

  12. Press the DOWN arrow two more times to access the Basic Setup screen.
  13. Press the RIGHT arrow to select the Basic Setup menu.
  14. Press the DOWN arrow key to scroll through the options in the menu.
  15. Press the RIGHT arrow to select Line Size.
  16. On the Line Size screen, press the UP/DOWN arrows to change the sensor size to its original value.
  17. When you reach the desired sensor size, press “E” (LEFT arrow key).
  18. On the loop in Manual? screen, Press “E” again.
  19. Press “E” to navigate back to the Home/Flow Rate screen.
  20. Press the DOWN arrow to go to the Totalizer screen.
  21. Press “E” to begin totalization.
  22. Press the UP arrow to go back to the Home/Flow Rate screen.

How to Manually Lock and Unlock the Display

Learn the steps for manually locking and unlocking the display.

Tutorial Summary:

  1. When the display lock is activated, a lock symbol will flash in the lower right-hand corner of the display. To deactivate the display lock, hold the UP arrow for 3 seconds until the on-screen instructions display.

  3. Hold the “E” key until the display lock is deactivated. The lock symbol will no longer appear.

  6. Hold the “E” (LEFT arrow) key until the display lock is activated. The lock symbol will appear in the lower right-hand corner of the display.

How to Set the Display to Automatically Lock and Unlock

Learn the steps for setting the display to lock and unlock automatically.

Tutorial Summary:

  1. On the Home/Flow Rate screen press the DOWN arrow key four times to access the Detailed Setup menu.
  2. Using the RIGHT arrow key to select the Detailed Setup menu.
  3. Using the DOWN arrow key to scroll through the options in the Detailed Setup menu.
  4. Use the RIGHT arrow key to select LOI Config.
  5. Press the DOWN arrow key in the LOI Config menu until you see the Disp Auto Lock option.
  6. Press the RIGHT arrow to enter the Disp Auto Lock menu. The options are Off, 1 minute and 10 minutes.
  7. Press the UP or DOWN arrow key to select the desired auto lock time.
  8. When you reach the desired time, press “E” (LEFT arrow key).
  9. Set the loop to manual if necessary, and press “E” again.

After a moment, the LOI will display VALUE STORED SUCCESSFULLY and then display the selected value.

  1. Press “E” to navigate back to the Home/Flow Rate screen.
