Corrosion Monitoring Technologies for Boilers and Steam Drums

Monitor corrosion risk in steam drums, boiler systems, and pipes

Vaporizing water flowing through waste heat recovery piping and saturated steam in the drum create the risk for corrosion. Corrosion can ultimately reduce the wall thickness to the point where a steam drum or water tube can no longer hold the pressure, resulting in a leak or tube burst. Because of this, it is critical to continuously monitor for corrosion, as corrosion-related boiler failures and efficiency losses can negatively impact plant efficiency, profitability, and safety.
