Configuration and Diagnostic software allows the user to configure the instrument for optimal performance and monitor a valve’s health. This can be done while the valve is still in-service without disturbing the process. ValveLink™ software communicates remotely with both HART® and FOUNDATION™ fieldbus FIELDVUE™ digital valve controllers from a standard PC platform or field device with a user-friendly interface. The software provides valuable data to be able avoid costly shutdowns, configure instruments, improve performance, and properly diagnose instrument issues.
ValveLink™ Software gives you the ability to set up and calibrate your valve assembly, monitor status and alerts, stroke the valve, perform a step test, run a valve signature, and view and save previous diagnostic tests.
ValveLink™ SOLO permits users to perform configuration, calibration, and diagnostics on HART and FOUNDATION Fieldbus FIELDVUE digital valve controllers direct from your PC.
ValveLink™ DTM provides integration into a Field Device Tool (FDT) frame application to perform diagnostics on FIELDVUE digital valve controllers. The ValveLink™ DTM is certified with the FDT group.
ValveLink™ SNAP‐ON provides integration with AMS Device Manager to perform tasks. Integration with AMS Device Manager provides the ability to communicate with FIELDVUE digital valve controllers via DeltaV ™, Ovation ™, PROVOX ™, HART multiplexers, and HART modems.
ValveLink™ PLUG-IN for PRM provides integration with the Yokogawa Plant Resource Manager (PRM).
Performance diagnostics continuously analyze the valve assembly and gathers data without disturbing the control valve while it is in process. Software may be used to help detect problems with air leakage, valve assembly friction and deadband, instrument air quality, loose connections, supply pressure restriction, and valve assembly calibration. When a problem is identified, the diagnostic provides a description and severity of the problem, a probable cause, and recommended action. Performance diagnostics tests are available upon user request or a pre‐selected daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly schedule.
Mobile ValveLink™ software allows you to gather field diagnostics on a portable device such as the Trex communicator and seamlessly integrate that data into the ValveLink™ system. The large touchscreen on the Trex communicator makes it easier than ever to see all valve diagnostic details. Data files generated using ValveLink™ Mobile software can be transferred to any of the ValveLink™ Software options to be analyzed and archived.
ValveLink™ Software Signature Series factory-executed performance testing is available for any Fisher™ control valve assembly that includes a FIELDVUE™ digital valve controller. Signature Series performance testing creates a benchmark of an assembled valve's performance just prior to shipment. This benchmark provides a starting point for future data comparison, enabling you to track the operating condition of your control valve and maximize valve performance.
