Emerson-P-DataFrame Loader Software

DataFrame™ Loader Software

Product Description

Emerson's (formerly GeoFields) DataFrame™ Loader Software enables energy pipeline operators to integrate survey data with the enterprise data management system, providing standardized data formats and consistent data storage methods. This advanced tool allows users to easily load, align, and publish in-line inspection, close interval survey, and direct assessment data to the enterprise database. In surveying, it is common to use an independent referencing system, such as an odometer or interval, but these methods do not correspond to pipeline stationing. Prior to the integration of survey data with other datasets, it is important to align the survey data to known pipeline locations to account for the differences between stationing and odometer readings, a process called macro alignment. DataFrame Loader examines the control and survey data to optimize alignment, ensuring a valve from the survey is aligned to the known valve location with the same pipeline stationing. This macro alignment brings survey data into a single frame of reference with the enterprise data to enhance decision making and reduce risk.

Features

  • DataFrame Loader allows user to overcome the challengers of inconsistent formatting of survey data by providing the ability to re-configure any survey and define how the data is published to the enterprise database.
  • Users can bulk load survey data from raw files, including GPS files, without needing a database administrator with the software verifying the quality of the data against the database and producing an error log if any issues are found.
  • Once the data is published, defect characteristics are integrated with the other enterprise datasets, allowing for more thorough analysis.
  • Quickly bulk load a virtually unlimited amount of external facility data to the enterprise database, with the software reducing the time needed to format and cleanse the data before it is loaded.
  • Detailed data validation controls the quality of the data being loaded, helping ensure imperfect data is not introduced to the database.
  • As the data is being published, database code and stationing values are verified to ensure the published data is accurate and consistent, with a detailed log created to identify and describe any errors.
  • Users can easily load data directly from common storage software with support for source data in varying database formats, including Microsoft® Excel®, Access® or SQL Server; Esri® ArcSDE, shapefile or file geodatabase; Oracle® MySQL and more.
  • The data-mapping interface provides robust data mapping options to describe data translation and data conversion, significantly reducing the time to format and cleanse the pre-loaded data.
