New AMS Asset Monitor update strengthens measurement, analytics and configuration in native application, adds new machinery templates

AUSTIN, Texas
(May 2, 2024) – Global software and engineering leader Emerson has improved native, out-of-the-box software and measurement features embedded in its award-winning AMS Asset Monitor CHARMs-based edge process analytics solution for monitoring industrial machinery.

The firmware upgrade results in expanded reporting dashboards in native software, enhanced data collection capabilities, and higher degrees of configurability and customization to improve end-user experience and add versatility. Cybersecurity is strengthened, as is the PeakVue Plus technology embedded in AMS Asset Monitor, now allowing for further customizable alarm levels for overall impacting severity.

This update introduces new selectable machinery asset templates within native software, broadening the range of industries and specialized machinery types and applications able to be served by AMS Asset Monitor. In addition to many commonly found high-speed applications like pumps, fans, motors, and gearboxes, AMS Asset Monitor may now increasingly be used for monitoring low-speed or unique assets like rolling mills, rotary kilns, crushers, high pressure grinding rolls, dryer cans, wind turbines, extruders, bio-refining equipment, large cranes, screens, and more.

Not only has native, out-of-the-box software for AMS Asset Monitor improved, but so has the existing integration with AMS Machine Works software for advanced analysis. When deployed together, one AMS Asset Monitor can now accommodate 12 separate data collections for advanced analysis.

AMS Asset Monitor also now includes Fleet Manager, a simple utility used to quickly update firmware for up to 500 devices at a time, without needing to enter the field, saving valuable time.
