What are Type J Thermocouples? (Iron – Constantan)

Type J thermocouples have a more restricted potential range of -200 to +1200°C (346 to 2193°F), but higher sensitivity of about 50 µV/ ºC 

• They are very linear in the range of 149 to 427°C (300 to 800°F) and become brittle below 0°C (32°F)  

• Type J thermocouples are suitable for use in vacuum, reducing, or inert atmospheres
