Enhanced Software​

Your pressure transmitter now includes capabilities that have historically been limited to flow meters and level devices. You can easily configure the device to measure flow rate as well as track totalized flow with an integrated totalizer.
Level measurements have been made simple with a built-in configurator to guide you through setting up level output. Volume measurements are also possible for common tank styles or even customized tanks that require a strapping table.

Loop Integrity Diagnostic

Loop Integrity Diagnostic continuously monitors electrical loops to detect issues that affect the communication signal. Get alerts to:

  • Water in the Housing: Water in the transmitter electronics housing can cause leakage current alerting the output signal before it reaches the control system.
  • Corroded Wiring: Corrosion anywhere in the electrical loop can alter the output signal before it reaches the control system.
  • Unstable Power Supply: An unstable power supply can cause a brownout condition where there may not be enough voltage to drive the proper mA output.

You’ll know when a hidden electrical loop issue may be affecting your process reading, so you can take corrective action before operations or safety are compromised.

Plugged Impulse Line Diagnostic

Impulse piping can plug from material buildup or freezing, which isolates the transmitter from the process and therefore is unable to respond to process changes. The Rosemount 3051 continuously monitors for plugged impulse lines and alerts you to abnormal conditions.You can detect plugs when they occur, so you can optimize preventative maintenance schedules to increase process uptime.

Quick Service Buttons

The Quick Service Buttons provide easy access to basic commissioning and maintenance tasks such as viewing the configuration, zero, performing a loop test, rerange, and flipping the display screen. The Quick Service Buttons are accessed on top of the transmitter housing. The wake sequence will precent inadvertent configuration at the device.
