Accurate Inventory Monitoring Despite Build-Up, Dust and Rat Holes
In soda ash production plants, coke is stored in silos before processing. The coke material generates a great deal of dust during the filling and emptying processes, leading to harsh dusty conditions in the silo. The coke also tends to adhere to the silo walls creating build-up and rat holes. These attributes significantly challenge the ability to accurately measure inventories and that is why a non-contacting radar transmitter with dust management features and Signal Quality Metrics software is recommended in this application.
