Clamp-on flow meter for sulfuric acid plant
The production of sulfuric acid for the leaching and extraction process is an important support function for the smooth operation of the mine. High temperatures and aggressive chemicals require the highest standards of safety and control.
Typical measurement points include:
- Absorber recirculation lines
- Heat exchanger inlets / outlets
- Storage monitoring.
The aggressive nature of sulfuric acid requires constant maintenance and replacement of measurement equipment. This is applicable for inline meters but not for clamp-on flow meters, which have no contact with the media.
