Ensure Refrigeration is Functioning Properly in Compressed Air Loops
Compressed air is used in numerous mining applications. It is important for this air to be cooled upon exiting the compressor. One method to cool the air is to use a closed loop refrigeration system. This system is prone to degradation over time. The Rosemount™ Synchros™ Temperature Monitor can be used to monitor the surface temperature of the compressed air lines. If the temperatures exceed the acceptable values, it is an early indication that the refrigeration system needs to be checked to ensure proper cooling.
