Roxar™ Multiphase Salinity System

A dedicated salinity sensor providing sensitive and real-time measurement of the conductivity and salinity of produced water in multiphase production wells.

In instances where water conductivity is unstable, measuring conductivity and salinity of the produced water from a well can be an important operational parameter for oil and gas operators. Emerson offers a dedicated salinity sensor suitable for operating in three-phase gas-liquid flows, in combination with the Roxar 2600 Multiphase Flow Meter (MPFM). The Roxar Multiphase Salinity System (RMSS) provides sensitive and real-time measurement of the conductivity and salinity of produced water in multiphase production wells. Together with the Roxar 2600 MPFM, this enables operators to obtain saline independent multiphase measurements, and take appropriate data driven actions, as required.

  • Compact design consisting of a pipe spool and an Ex d flow computer, typically mounted upstream of the Roxar 2600 MPFM
  • Modular based approach ensures the RMSS is a separate module, allowing integration with both new and existing Roxar 2600 MPFM
  • Real-time continuous outputs of both water conductivity and salinity
  • Conductivity measurements provided as an input to the Roxar 2600 MPFM, resulting in the Roxar 2600 MPFM being less affected by changes in water conductivity
  • Conductivity measurements support flow assurance activities, such as direct formation water detection and break-through monitoring, optimizing corrosion, erosion and scale inhibitors, and monitoring injected water breakthrough
