Roxar™ Watercut Meter

Full‑bore meter using microwave resonance to deliver accurate water cut measurement in any flow, offering robust, drift‑free sensitivity and detecting changes as small as 50 parts per million

The Roxar Watercut Meter is a full-bore, highly sensitive measurement instrument. Utilising microwave resonance technology, the reliable, drift-free Roxar Watercut Meter is installed all over the world in some of the most challenging onshore and offshore environments. From water cut measurement on the oil outlet of a three phase separator, to allocation or fiscal measurement at an oil pipeline, or at a desalter inlet in a refinery, or even fiscal quality measurement at a refined pipeline, the field-proven Roxar Watercut Meter will provide the measurement you need.

Key Features

  • Real time, water cut measurement without the need for sampling or the separation of the oil and water
  • Robust, drift free, sensitive water cut measurement utilizing microwave resonance technology
  • Full bore measurement, ensuring a true representation of water cut over the full cross section of the flow
  • Highly sensitive measurement, detecting and tracking water content changes as small as 50ppm
  • A versatile measurement instrument, suitable for all water cut applications: upstream, midstream and downstream
  • Enhanced versatility with the TopCut Feature, extending the operating range of the Roxar Watercut Meter from 0-50% water cut to an impressive 0-100% water cut, perfect for applications requiring a broader range
  • The AutoZero feature utilizes a density input from, for example from a densitometer or Coriolis meter, to automatically compensate for changes in the oil density in real time, should variations in the flow properties be expected.
  • Local characterization can be used to enhance performance in applications with very low watercut and with varying oil properties.
  • Stock tank mode enables the percentage of water by volume and the percentage of water by weight to be provided as outputs at standard conditions.
  • Option to include a sample box, which supports sample collection ready for lab analysis, while recording the exact moment the sample is taken within the software
  • Option to include a local display
