Flammable and toxic products are often transported by sea, rail or road. There is an increased risk of leakage or spillage when these products are loaded and offloaded. Careful attention must be given to avoid the accidental release and ignition of flammable gases and the release of toxic gases. It is important that these loading and offloading zones are monitored for both combustible and toxic gases. Rosemount™ gas monitoring and detection products can detect these gas leaks quickly, helping to keep people safe and prevent environmental impact. If combustible gas leaks do occur, Rosemount 975 Flame Detectors continuously provide ultra-fast flame detection. These flame detectors have a high immunity to false alarms, distinguishing between actual fires and false radiation sources like sunlight or lightning.

Product Solutions
The Rosemount 975MR Multi-Spectrum Infrared Flame Detector accurately analyzes the multi-spectral signals of hydrocarbon gas or liquid fires by utilizing four separate IR sensors. The 975MR detects fuel and gas fires at long distances. For example, this product will detect a 1 ft2 (0.1m2) gasoline pan fire at 300 ft (90 m). The 975MR also provides a high immunity to false alarms and enhanced overall coverage range.

The Rosemount Incus Ultrasonic Gas Leak Detector utilizes four ultra-sensitive acoustic sensors that constantly monitor wide areas for ultrasound generated from the release of pressurized gas. Ideally suited for monitoring well-ventilated outdoor environments, the ultrasonic gas leak detector has been engineered to withstand the most extreme conditions and is unaffected by inclement weather, wind, leak direction, and gas dilution or stratification.

The Rosemount 928 Wireless Gas Monitor detects hydrogen sulfide (H

WirelessHART® technology, and eliminates the need for expensive wiring. The Rosemount 928 Wireless Gas Monitor easily connects to the Rosemount 628 Universal Gas Sensor which consists of a tool-less-hot-swappable smart sensor module.
