Frequently Asked Questions

The Rosemount 3144S Temperature Transmitter is compatible with both Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs) and Thermocouples of all types, including Type K, Type J, Type T, Type E, and Type N. The Rosemount 214C Temperature Sensor comes in both RTD and Thermocouple options and can be assembled to the Rosemount 3144S for simplified ordering.​

The Rosemount 3144S Temperature Transmitter offers enhanced diagnostic capabilities to solve a variety of measurement challenges, including loss of measurement, broken sensor wires, and corrosion or power supply issues. The Rosemount 3144S also includes preventative diagnostic features, such as insight into failing sensors prior to failure (for both RTDs and thermocouples).​

The Rosemount 3144S Temperature Transmitter offers improved ease of use and flexibility when it comes to configuration, including Bluetooth Connectivity and ReadyConnect Technology. With Bluetooth Technology, you can configure with ease up to 50 ft line of sight from your device. With ReadyConnect Technology, experience one-click configuration, as the transmitter automatically recognizes the sensor type, helping to reduce configuration time and errors. Similar to other temperature transmitters, the Rosemount 3144S can also be configured using a Field Communicator or AMS Device Configurator.
