Excellence in Teaching Awards Program

Each year, Emerson’s Excellence in Teaching Awards program recognizes educators — from kindergarten teachers to college professors — in the St. Louis metropolitan area who represent what it means to practice excellence in the field of education.

Chief administrators of employing school districts or educational institutions select recipients. The employing educational institution must be located in the St. Louis metropolitan area, which is defined to include: (in Missouri) Franklin County, Jefferson County, St. Charles County, St. Louis City and St. Louis County; and (in Illinois) Jersey County, Madison County, Monroe County and St. Clair County.

Emerson is pleased to honor teachers with a celebratory reception at the Ritz Carlton in St. Louis, Missouri. More information about this event will be available soon.

Submissions are being accepted now for Emerson’s 2026 Excellence in Teaching Awards. The deadline is Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026.
