New firmware for Fisher FIELDVUE DVC7K-H digital valve controller delivers secure wireless access and simplifies valve configuration workflows

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (June 30, 2026) – Emerson has added Bluetooth® wireless technology to its Fisher™ FIELDVUE™ DVC7K-H Digital Valve Controller with the latest firmware release for the device. This enhancement provides maintenance teams with secure, wireless connectivity for configuration and diagnostics, reducing reliance on physical communications connections and improving efficiency in the field.

The addition of Bluetooth capability to the DVC7K-H is supported by Windows™ and mobile platforms, allowing technicians to configure and diagnose the DVC7K-H wirelessly with confidence. Complementing this enhancement, Emerson recently launched a redesigned AMS Trex Device Communicator with features that support Bluetooth technology, creating a unified ecosystem for managing Emerson devices and streamlining workflows in the field.

Emerson’s ValveLink™ Pro monitoring software also supports communication via Bluetooth technology, enabling technicians to perform firmware updates, manage license step-ups and configure devices quickly without cables. Additionally, devices purchased with the Advanced Diagnostic (AD) tier can run offline diagnostics like step response tests and valve signatures. These enhancements streamline workflows and help maintenance teams deliver reliable results faster.

To enable Bluetooth wireless functionality, the DVC7K-H can either be purchased with the capability enabled or upgraded through a step-up option. The functionality is available only on devices running DVC7K-H Firmware 2 or later and is subject to country-specific approvals.
