PAC Machine Edition version 11.0 standardizes development, accelerates deployment, and drives more efficient maintenance
AUSTIN, Texas (Oct. 16, 2026) – Emerson has announced the release of PAC Machine Edition version 11.0, the unified engineering environment for machine control. PAC Machine Edition version 11.0 reduces complexity across the machine lifecycle with integrated tools that provide the visibility and flexibility necessary to engineer, operate, and maintain machine automation systems more efficiently.
PAC Machine Edition version 11.0 brings control, motion, visualization, device configuration, and diagnostics into a single software environment, resulting in standardized development, accelerated deployment, and the ability to efficiently maintain applications throughout their lifecycle. The enhanced software empowers users to build smarter machines faster via:
- Unified Machine Engineering: Configure hardware, develop applications, commission systems, and troubleshoot operations from a common project that spans programmable logic controllers (PLC), I/O, motion control, human machine interfaces (HMI), drives, and more.
- Integrated Control, Motion & Visualization: Develop PLC logic, motion applications, and operator interfaces together to reduce engineering effort and simplify deployment.
- Centralized Device Configuration: Configure controllers, drives, I/O, industrial networking, and IO-Link devices from a single workspace while maintaining consistency across projects.
- Flexible Development Environment: Support diverse machine requirements with IEC 61131-3 programming languages, native C development, and extensive function block libraries.
The new software also features significant core performance and stability improvements as well as native configuration for the new QuickPanel+2 HMI. An upgraded internal controller and PLC simulation engine supports offline testing, and an expanded change management audit trail offers native access for all users.
