Emerson Honors 99 St. Louis Area Educators with Excellence in Teaching Awards
Local educators recognized for their accomplishments and dedication to students and the teaching profession
ST. LOUIS (November 20, 2023) – Emerson has named 99 local educators as the 2023 honorees of the company’s Excellence in Teaching Awards. The annual program recognizes St. Louis area instructors, selected by their schools’ administrators, for their accomplishments and dedication to students and the teaching profession.
“Dedicated and passionate teachers have a profound, long-lasting impact on their students,” said Akberet Boykin Farr, vice president of human resources for Emerson. “Their unwavering commitment to ignite students’ passion for learning and empower them to overcome challenges in and out of the classroom is commendable. For those reasons and many others, we are excited and privileged to recognize 99 teachers as this year’s Excellence in Teaching Awards honorees. The Excellence in Teaching Awards program began in St. Louis in 1989 and is sponsored annually by Emerson, the global technology and software company headquartered in St. Louis.
