As Vice President and General Manager of Test and Analytics Software at Emerson Test and Measurement (formerly NI), Rudy Sengupta is responsible for driving differentiation and resiliency through software, AI and recurring revenue growth.

 

With two decades of experience at NI, Sengupta has held multiple progressive leadership positions across the business. Most recently, he served as vice president of product management, focused on software portfolio transformation and product strategy across a broad product portfolio of RF, precision, conditioned measurement, communication, and data acquisition hardware and application software. 

 

Sengupta also held multiple engineering and leadership roles within the company’s research and development organization, where he was focused on defining new field programmable gate array-based measurement and control instrumentation and driving execution across global, cross-functional teams. 

 

Sengupta holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, with a technical focus on embedded systems and communication networks. He is still actively engaged with the University, where he previously served on the advisory board for the Chandra Family Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and is currently a member of the Cockrell School of Engineering Advisory Board. He also supports the local nonprofit community as a board member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America - Austin Area.
