Spectrex™ IR3 Optical Detector

Spectrex™ IR3 Optical Detector is a microcontroller based flame detector using three IR wavelengths for fast, reliable detection in engine compartments of military vehicles and for fire detection outside the vehicle.

The detector uses three infrared (IR) wavelengths to identify fire events and offers high immunity to false alarms. Sensitivity and operating features can be adjusted to suit specific applications. A serial communication port provides outputs for maintenance and diagnostics, supporting system monitoring and servicing. The detector includes automatic and manual Built In Test (BIT) functions to verify proper operation. The IR3 Optical Detector delivers a response time of less than three seconds, maintains sensitivity to slow growth fires, and is designed for high reliability with a minimum MTBF of 150,000 hours. Communication is supported via RS 485 Modbus compatibility.
